Dr Doorgesh Gowreesunkur (Clinical Geneticist), is the Managing Director, from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London UK, with years of experience at St. Georges Hospital, London UK. His background and expertise in the medical laboratory now adds a unique lustre to Green Cross in providing a modern, innovative approach using state of the art technology with focus on quality and service.

Mr. Shreenivash Busawon – BSc. After graduating as the topper in the 2007 management batch from the University of Mauritius and obtaining several years of experience in the field of management in various companies of the country, Mr Shreenivah joined Green Cross in 2010.  Under the immediate care and direction of the Dr Gowreesunkur and Dr Doorgesh Gowreesunkur, he has proven himself to be vital, to boost the ever growing standards of quality of our organisation. Together with Mr Radhakissoon he has acted as a catalyst for the expansion of the services provided by the laboratory.

ISO 15189


accreditationTo provide a reliable, consistent, and high quality medical reports to the population in Mauritius, Green Cross has brought itself as the premier private laboratory to meet standards that enables our clinical laboratory and staff to meet ISO 15189 policies and regulatory requirements.

These policies enables us to act in accordance with Quality Systems, and provide the best possible patient care.


 


RIQAS – External Quality Assessment (EQA)


accreditationRIQAS is the largest global EQA scheme. It is used by 16,000 laboratories worldwide. RIQAS is accredited to a number of internationally recognised standards.

The objective of performing EQA is to develop inter-laboratory comparability which allows standardisation of diagnostic testing. EQA measures a laboratory's accuracy using 'blind' samples that are analysed as if they were patient samples. For Green Cross EQA has a number of functions:


 



  • Maintaining and improving the analytical quality of laboratory tests

  • Detecting equipment failures, identifying reagent problems, reviewing staff training

  • Initiating and evaluating corrective actions

  • Comparing different analytical methods

Participation in an EQA scheme will help produce reliable and accurate reporting of patient results, consequently  providing accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

Blood Sample at Home ‘Prise a Domicile’


customer careWe are conscious that many people around the country can not travel to us for their blood tests. That is why, Green Cross took the initiative to offer sample collection at your residence



  • To come at home, at your own convenience is one unique service that Green Cross has set up to meet up with your needs . By giving us a ring on 4678999 at our main office or contact us at any Green Cross Center, you can contact one of our customer relations officer to take an appointment for the sample collection at your home.

  • Priority is given to all the persons who are not in a position to come to the lab.

  • Green Cross can use its own vehicle to come at your residence or you can opt to come and collect our specially trained technicians for the sample collection at home.

  • You can also visit us in your nearest Green Cross Centre and place an appointment.

We are present in all the  big towns in the Plaine Wilhems and most of the main towns of other districts.

Now, a client who needs to perform a blood test in Grand-Baie in the north or Chemin-Grenier in the South need not travel to come to our head office. He can easily visit one of his nearest Green Cross branch in his own locality and perform the the same tests that could have been done in Belle-Rose.
